This time, we were at BareBurger to hand out maker faire street  team materials. I have always wanted to review BareBurger because it was always one of my favorite places to eat. When i sat down i was given a kids menu without being asked but it was ok because I had been there before so I had a list. BareBurger has a custom burger menu where you can design your own burger. I carry around a list with my favorite options.

The first few things that came out were our appetizers. The first appetizer to come out was the Kale Cesar salad, it was creamy, sweet, and tangy but it did’t get finished. The second appetizer to come out was the Brussels Sprouts they were perfectly brown and crispy. We ate them up, Brussels sprouts are not normally a kids food, but at BareBurger I would recommend them to kids.

After the Appetizers came the main courses the first burger to come out was my dads “The Supreme”, it came with onion rings on top. I tried one of the onion rings and it was very crispy, herbal, and salty. It tasted like fresh onion you could tell they were farm-fresh, and … IT WASN’T TOO GREASY. I can not stress how many places over grease their onion rings!!!!!!!

The next burger that came was my “Bunke Burger” My Bunk-E Burger was a mix of a savory and spicy burger. I have had this burger so many times that i have the list on my phone. There is one change i will make to make to the Bunke Burger next time i have it is that i will change the type of bacon that is on it or just not have bacon it. The last burger that came out was my moms burger, I did not try this burger, but my mom said “It is hard to find a simple burger in a complicated place”.

The manager of BareBurger was Diana,  she was nice and gave my family and I  some plates “for consideration.” One was the Jalapeño Poppers the next was the chocolate shakes. I both really liked them and will order them next time i go to BareBurger. Diana was very out going and shared a lot about her life as a manager, and an owner of BareBurger. She even invited us to her supper-club.

Our waitress, Xiang was very fast with our food and only made drinks recommendations for me and my family, not food recommendations. She helped me decide on a ice tea, I got the peach ice tea. The ice tea was sweet, but not too sugary. She also helped my mom choose a beer.

As mentioned earlier Diana, the manager, gave me Jalapeño Poppers and chocolate shakes to try, here is what i thought. The Jalapeño Poppers were not too spicy like other places do it. it it savory and crispy with just the right amount of slow building spice.

The chocolate shake was amazing. all the flavors blended wonderfully except for one, but not in a bad way, the cayenne pepper stood out and softly burnt the back of my throat, also the fact that it had a marshmallow in it made it ten times better.

This place was already my favorite, but it just earned another half-star.  4.5 Bunk-e stars!!
